Congrats on your sale, Jeanne! This painting is magnificent - 5-gaited American Saddlebred? Flashy, whatever he is! Like, Pinning on my Oil Paintings board and Horses and Equines of All Stripes board on Pinterest, and sharing on FB and Twitter.

It could be five gaited, but I thought the brightness of the boots would distract so I decided to leave it to the viewers imagination! Could be a nice three gaited pleasure saddlebred! :D

Jeanne Newton Schoborg

The Midwest is where I grew up, but as a child, I traveled to three continents with my parents and sister. My family's jewelry business took us everywhere! There wasn't a museum, monument, pyramid, or castle we missed along the way...Dad and a multitude of tour guides made certain of that! From the age of nine till we turned eighteen, our summers were filled with the sights, sounds, and tastes of the world. I attended Stephen's College from 1974 to 1979 where I graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art. I minored in Equestrian Science, of course! Now, one would expect I learned a lot from those 5 years, but I really didn't...at least, not what I was looking for. It was the mid seventies and well...you remember the seventies? Horse art was...
